Lost and Found
Ink illustrated and handbound children's book. This book tells a story about a lost puppy named Zuko and how he was adopted from the Animal Welfare Society of Stellenbosch. The main focus of the book is to educate young children (ages 5-10) about “adopt, don’t shop” and the importance of the work the AWSS is doing. Zuko tells the story of where he was born, how he was rescued and how he found us, hence the name LOST and FOUND. The book is also filled with a lot of information surrounding adoption and rescue animals. The book also features a “adoption checklist” and a “how to care for an animal”, easy understandable for young children to help them learn about these important issues in South Africa and in the world. *All the information used in the book comes from the Animal Welfare Society of Stellenbosch 2019 annual report.
